Steam therapy can be used to soften the throat, which is especially dry due to lack of moisture. Gargles or mouthwashes prepared with honey, salt, Albanian pepper powder, red pepper powder or flake red pepper as well as liquorice will help to relieve your sore throat. For that reason, you may mix a teaspoon of the ingredient with 250 ml of water and then use this mixture frequently to gargle during the day. You will feel that your throat softens in a short time. Warm tea flavored with honey can also help soften the irritated throat. Another benefit of honey is that it is an effective cough suppressant. Other warm fluids can also help relieve it. However you need to be careful that very hot fluids can make your already sore throat to get even worse.
